Job Description
This is an intermediate level position that requires operation of equipment related to stump removal and ground repair, the ability to assess and execute the logistical and safety requirements for stump removal, the ability to direct a crew to meet those requirements, and achievement of all the requirements of Stump Crew Laborer.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Maintains a valid driver license
- Understands all company and industry safety policies
- Ability to maintain a safe and secure work site
- Ability to follow directions (written and oral)
- Understands safe operating and maintenance procedures of related equipment including stump machine and skid steer
- Inspects and reports maintenance needs to mechanic such broken grinder teeth or clogged air filters
- Ability to use a computer to call Miss Utility Tickets in and keep them in active status until stump is complete
- Maintains supplies and materials inventory at a level to expedite job completion
- Ability to interact with clients and crew members in a professional manner
- Familiar with MTTC reporting procedures for accidents/incidents
- Good communication skills
- Ability to train crew members in all phases of stump removal
- Ability to interact with clients and crew members in a professional manner
- Familiar with MTTC reporting procedures for accidents/incidents and near misses
Additional Skills
- Speaks and understands English
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of position
