LANDSCAPE FOREMAN/SUPERVISOR
Job Description:
Mead Tree & Turf Care, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Foreman/Supervisor in Howard County, Maryland. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and training of multiple landscape crews performing landscape maintenance, planting, and hardscape installation.
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 5 years experience in landscape maintenance and installation including mowing, bed maintenance, planting, pruning, and hardscape installation
- Advanced knowledge of trees, landscape plants, annuals, perennials, and horticultural practices
- 2 years of experience in utilizing landscape power tools such as air spade, soil vac, and chain saw
- 2 years experience operating heavy equipment such as a skid loader
Job Duties:
- Communicate with clients and crew-members in a positive and professional manner
- Direct and train foreman and crew members
- Monitor project activities to ensure instructions are followed and deadlines met
- Evaluate crew performance
- Accurately fill out daily paperwork
- Understand all company and industry safety policies
- Follow MTTC reporting procedures for accidents/incidents and near misses
- Keep crew trucks and equipment in good repair, clean and ready for service, and report all equipment issues to mechanic
- Obtain a DOT medical card
- Lift 50 pounds
- Inspect completed work to ensure conformance with specifications
- Pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- Travel within the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas required
