Bucket Operator

Job Description

This is an intermediate level position that requires operation of a bucket truck and related tree crew equipment, knowledge of pruning and removal techniques, and assistance of climbers in tree pruning and removal operations.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift 50lbs minimum
• Maintains valid driver’s license
• Class B CDL
• Understands all company and industry safety policies
• Ability to operate an aerial lift safely and efficiently
• Ability to perform a pre-use aerial lift inspection
• Ability to follow directions (written and oral)
• Ability to maintain and operate chainsaws per company and industry standards
• Ability to identify and mitigate job site hazards
• Understands ANSI A-300 pruning standards, ANSI Z-133.3 safety standards and OSHA requirements
• Knowledge of rigging and rigging forces
• EHAP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Ability to set up traffic control per state requirements
• Familiar with MTTC reporting procedures for accidents/incidents and near misses
• Good communication skills
