    Job Description

    This is an intermediate-level position that requires the operation of a bucket truck and related tree crew equipment, knowledge of pruning and removal techniques, and assistance of climbers in tree pruning and removal operations.


    Required Skills

    Job Description

    This is an advanced position requiring the operation of the crane and Prentice log truck, including crane operation in tree removal and trimming operations, managing the wood pile, sorting and delivering all mill logs to the designated mill, and assisting tree crews when equipment is not needed.

    Job Description

    This is an entry-level apprentice tree climber position requiring no previous tree climbing experience, but requires ongoing progress to learn basic skills in climbing, use of ropes and knots, rigging, pruning techniques, tree hardware installation, safety, requirements, operation of power equipment as related to the job, and achievement of all requirements of tree groundsmen.

    This is an intermediate climber position requiring the performance of mid-level climbing operations for tree removal and trimming, including achievement of all requirements of the tree climber apprentice position.

    • Obtains EHAP (required to move on to tree climber advanced)
    • Has a good working knowledge of pruning, including crown reduction and crown restoration pruning
    • Ability to move through a tree with little difficulty

    Job Description

    This is an advanced climber position that requires the performance of all climbing operations for tree removal and trimming, the assistance of the foreman on the job site, and the achievement of all the requirements of tree climber intermediate position.

    • Able to perform duties of tree climber intermediate
    • Able to remove large or hazardous trees
    • Proficient at crane removals
    • Has strong knowledge and proficiency in all tree care operations, including climbing operations and bucket operations
    • Have a strong knowledge of rigging, forces behind rigging, rates of tensile strength of ropes, slings, and blocks, cycles to failure, and how to use the proper rigging for the job
    • Must be able to perform all duties that are asked of production personnel

    This is an intermediate-level position that requires the operation of equipment related to stump removal and ground repair, the ability to assess and execute the logistical and safety requirements for stump removal, the ability to direct a crew to meet those requirements, and the achievement of all the requirements of a stump crew laborer.


    Required Skills

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

    Job Description

    A CDL driver is responsible for driving all vehicles to and from the job site. This includes but is not limited to bucket trucks, log trucks, large dump trucks, and trailers. Must be willing to perform various tree care or landscaping operations while on the job site.

    • Must be 18 years old
    • Hold a valid driver’s license (Class A preferred or B CDL with airbrakes) with a clean driving record

    This is an intermediate-level position requiring the completion of all of the requirements of a PHC Technician. You will be expected to receive work orders for the PHC manager and be required to perform all TARGET spray operations without supervision. You will be expected to work with an advanced IPM tech and assist with scouting inspections.


    Required Skills

    • Ability to perform all duties of a plant health care technician
    • Possesses a basic understanding of the IPM scouting process, including degree days, phenological identification, and timing of various pests and diseases

    Job Requirements

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Five years of experience in landscape maintenance and installation, including mowing, bed maintenance, planting, pruning, and hardscape installation
    • Advanced knowledge of trees, landscape plants, annuals, perennials, and horticultural practices
    • Two years of experience in utilizing landscape power tools, such as AirSpades, soil vacs, and chainsaws
    • Two years of experience operating heavy equipment, such as a skid loader

    Job Description

    The sales and service supervisor handles all communication with the customer and develops estimates and proposals for the work required. You must have first-hand knowledge of all operations for your division. Supervisor responsibilities may include hiring and training personnel, crew scheduling, work supervision, and crew evaluation. The supervisor must have a working knowledge of all equipment and work assigned to the crews. The sales and service supervisor provides the crew leader with directions to the job site, a detailed description of the work to be performed, and the estimated production hours for each job. The supervisor is also responsible for follow-up with the customer and all paperwork related to the job.


    Qualifications

    • Minimum of five years experience in the field

    • Appropriate credentials for the division, such as ISA arborist certifications, safety training credentials, ISA training certifications, certified professional horticulturalist, landscape industry certified management, and CPR and first-aid training

    Job Description

    The shop mechanic is responsible for proper maintenance and repairs on all company vehicles and equipment. This includes record keeping on all vehicles, regularly scheduled maintenance, and ordering and stocking of parts and supplies. The shop mechanic also operates equipment for yard management and is responsible for maintaining the shop and inventory.
