The founder of Mead Tree & Turf Care has gained his knowledge and experience firsthand – not only as a climber and crew member, but through specialized education from the University of Maryland, local community colleges, and various industry training programs.
In addition to his extensive field experience, Bob brings a wealth of skills and talents to his business. His expertise and experience as a mechanic, welder, auto body specialist, heavy equipment operator, CDL driver, and 20 years as a paramedic and fire fighter, have allowed him to function in many different roles within the company, and there is no job his employees do that he has not done himself. He currently focuses his time on sales, client services, and running the company.

Additionally, Bob has chaired the yearly Winter Management Seminar given by MAA for the last 10 years.
As administrator of all financial business and planning for Mead Tree & Turf Care, Joanne creates and manages the yearly operating and capital budgets; writes and edits company documents; and coordinates and supervises projects focused on production efficiency, record keeping, and prodedural changes in management and operations. Her responsibilities also include accounts payable, payroll, taxes, banking, insurance, and financial reporting. Joanne became active in the business part-time in 2003 and full time in 2006, when she retired from a 30 year teaching career. She is currently a student in the business program at HCC.

With more than twenty years of tree care industry experience, Rich has experience in a variety of roles, from grounds man to tree climber; from production foreman to safety coordinator. As a member of Mead Tree & Turf Care’s team, his responsibilities include production supervision, safety training, and sales. Rich participates regularly in continuing education opportunities provided by the tree care industry.

Additionally, Rich has extensive knowledge of crane operation, industry equipment and machinery and holds a Class “A” CDL.
Steve has worked in the tree care industry since 1996, gaining experience in the field as a grounds man, tree climber, and production foreman. He has served as a customer service manager for another tree company for 8 years and participates regularly in continuing education opportunities provided by the tree care industry. Steve enjoys spending time with his family and watching football.

Steve is currently President of the Maryland Arborist Association, where he has been a board member for 8 years.

Eric has been working in the landscape industry for over 10 years. He has gained experience in all aspectsof the business, including laborer, crew foreman, production manager, and sales supervisor. His service in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1997 until 2003 has contributed significantly to his leadership and team management abilities. Eric always maintains a focus on customer care, and his diverse work experience provides him with the skills required to deliver high-quality results that exceed the clients’ expectations. His role at Mead Tree & Turf Care includes landscape sales, customer service, and managementand training of the landscape crews. Eric spends his free time cooking andenjoying time with his family.
Professional Credentials
Primarily responsible for accounts receivable, human resources, job tracking and scheduling, Tiffany also manages all records related to production and customer service. Tiffany supervises all scheduling and contracting, handles customer inquiries and estimates, and assists with facilitating daily production. While a student at Glenelg HS, Tiffany gained computer and organizational experience and was the student manager of the Robotics team as well as the Young Engineers and Scientists Seminars program. Tiffany has also taken courses in business at West Virginia University and Howard Community College. As Bob’s daughter, Tiffany grew up in the treecare business, and knows Mead Tree & Turf Care from top to bottom.
