Tree Expert Bill Signing with Governor Erlich

Maryland Tree Expert Law provides a layer of consumer protection by licensing qualified and insured tree care companies and individuals. Anyone practicing or advertising tree care services in Maryland must be licensed. The license encompasses pruning, consulting, and requirements for ethical business practices. In 2007, tree removals were added to the license at the recommendation of the Maryland Arborist Association. Pictured here is Governor Erlich with MAA representatives at the bill signing.
